Recent research projects have included: development of dynamic multiscale models for spatiotemporal datasets; development of optimal design of monitoring networks for spatial and spatiotemporal processes; and the study of the relationship between meteorological variables and tornado occurrence as well as identification of temporal trends in relevant meteorological variables. Dr. Ferreira is an Associate Professor and currently the Director of Graduate Programs in the Department of Statistics, teaching graduate courses in Time Series Analysis and Spatial Statistics.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_single_image image=”46771″ img_size=”275×355″ alignment=”center” style=”vc_box_border”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]He has served on the editorial boards of three journals and published more than 40 papers and book chapters on statistical methods, modeling, and computation. Dr. Ferreira has also published one book on Bayesian Multiscale Modeling.
