The fifth annual Interfaces of Global Change Graduate Research Symposium was scheduled be held on Friday, April 3, 2020 in the Graduate Life Center Multipurpose Room.
The 2020 symposium was cancelled / postponed due to Covid-19. A virtual symposium in spring 2021 is scheduled for April 23, 2021.
[/vc_column_text][vc_tta_accordion active_section=”” collapsible_all=”true”][vc_tta_section title=”Presentation & Abstract Guidelines” tab_id=”1538578013923-90e5a451-f0ba”][vc_column_text]All fellows who have been in the IGC program for at least one year are expected to present their work at the symposium in the form of a poster or platform presentation. First year students are encouraged to present their proposed research ideas as a poster, but are not required to do so. Students who have presented before should be sure to submit abstracts on new research findings that differ from their prior symposium presentation(s).
Due to schedule constraints the number of oral presentations will be limited to approximately 10. Senior IGC fellows, in their 3rd, 4th, or 5th year of study are strongly encouraged to select to give a talk. Priority will be given to those who 1) have not presented a talk at a past IGC symposium, 2) present result-driven content and 3) present content that is interdisciplinary and relevant to global change issues. If your abstract is not selected for an oral presentation, you will still be able to present your research as a poster.
Awards will be given for the best talks.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator style=”shadow”][vc_column_text]
FORMAT
Each abstract should contain:
- Title
- Authors and Affiliations (e.g., Department and University), presenting author denoted by an asterisk.
- An abstract highlighting key findings and not to exceed 250 words in length
